Locations

Streets/ alleyway
One of our locations is a street where the two girls walk through and the kidnapper stalks behind them. we filmed just before night time  so it was dark but you are still able to make out the shadow of the villain. This setting is perfect because it allows the audience to have some dramatic irony because they can see the stalker behind them but the characters on screen are oblivious to it , also mid way down the alley there is a street light so the characters get lit up and the shadowy figure lurks behind them as then the shot switch just as the stalker goes under the light. All of this builds up suspense and gives a very eerie feeling to the audience watching the trailer and is perfect for what we are trying to produce.

We used a car park to film the getaway abduction scene and the car get away , this location helps gives the kidnap authenticity because it is a real location with and not just filmed in a random place that doesn't give it continuity , instead you can actually see the car in the previous scenes we shot in that locations to keep up with the continuity.

The kidnap location also has a children's play park in the background which ties into the antagonists back story about his poor childhood. We used it because it gives a little extra detail and thought into the production and give it a better back story.

St Josephs Church , We were granted access to the church so we could film some clips of my character the antagonist in the church to further develop the plot and gives even more backstory, it also gives more diversity to our production so it doesn't all look the same and actually feels like a proper movie trailer. The location isn't just random , it was chosen because we had to think ion the mid of the character and where he would go to seek solace or forgiveness for what he has done.

My house/ Shed
We used my house and shed to film scenes with the captive girl and my character the kidnapper , the house meant we could film indoors without the weather effecting us and get the shots we wanted and also meant that it gave us another location to add to the list.
We used the shed to act as a basement as we didn't have access to one , however it gives the same look and effect as a basement with dim low lighting and very dusty, so it suited our production .

The last location was the A1 road we only got one clip here and it is of my character all alone talking to himself looking over the sunset reminiscing how he has been treated

  1. Good , but can you link these ideas back to your research into existing trailers (which ones gave you the inspiration for them)
