We used a variety of different pieces of equipment for the production of our A2 thriller trailer, each piece making the production as good as it can be,
Camera- Canon 600D, we choose this camera because it is a big improvement on the first camera on offer to us and we needed a camera that would be able to operate in dark conditions and still have a clear picture therefore we choose this one. It also has a more powerful zoom and better focusing so produces a better shot which is what we needed to make the production we wanted. It is as DSLR camera so it better quality than the average hand held camcorder which is what was supplied.

MacBook/ IMovie
We used iMovie to edit our trailer on a apple MacBook, this meant that we could access the non copyrighted music library iMovie so we could easily find music to use in our trailer . It also has a lot of effects , transitions and cuts that are very easy to use. Therefore we choose to edit on iMovie not only because it meant we could do it when and wherever but it is best suited to less experienced users such as ourselves.
Photoshop
We used Photoshop to create the logo for our production because it is professional software and even for new comers such as ourselves it allows us to create a great looking logo worthy of a real production company. We will also use it for our film posters and magazine covers .
Car/ transport
We used a car in one or two scenes in our production and we also needed it to drive from location to location , this meant we could depend less on the help of parents or friends for lifts and that we could go to and from locations as we pleased which gave us more freedom to make the production we wanted.
Script
To ensure each character knew their words we used a script for the dialogue that was used , the scripts were on the phones of the characters as we felt that paper would get in the way and the phones are easy to conceal and access. The script meant that everyone knew when and what they were saying .
